Wildcats look to bouce back this afternoon
The Moncton Wildcats looking to bouce back after dropping their last 2 games now after a 4-2 setback on Thursday night in Rimouski.
The Wildcats are back in action on Saturday afternoon at 5PM AST as they will battle with the Baie-Comeau Drakkar in Baie-Comeau.
The short staffed Wildcats have 5 call-ups on this trip Lindon Beckwith and Julian Belliveau Moncton Midget AAA, Thomas Flynn, Ross Johnson and Lance Pridham from Summerside Western Capitals MHL.
With Alex Saulnier Marek Hrivik Devon MacAusland Cameron McDonald and Patrick Downe (will take pre-game skate and is a game time decision) out of the line-up some young players have the opportunity to really step up their gam
Wasn’t for the lack of trying that the Wildcats came up short in Rimouski. The Wildcats 2-6 on the PP was very deceiving due to very weak calls on the part of the officials that took the any momentum that Wildcats were starting to build off of while on the PP.
Wildcats Captain Brandon Gormley has left the team for Calgary for Team Canada selection camp for the upcoming Word Junior Hockey Championship. So now a big hole will be needed to be filled on special teams for the Cats starting tomorrow.
Patrick Downe has made the trip with the team through Quebec but missed Thursday’s game and is doubtful for tomorrow.

Baie-Comeau is coming off a Shootout loss in Chicoutimi last night and didn’t get in till early this morning. The Cats look to get off to a quick start and take advantage of a tired Drakkar team.
