NASCAR Sprint Cup Series:

Last Race: Chase for the Championship round  7/10: Sunday October 30^th: Martinsville Virginia: Tony Stewart overhauled Jimmie Johnson for the lead with 3 laps to go, then held on as Johnson tried to bump him out of the way on the last lap, Smoke wins his 3^rd of the Chase.  Johnson 2^nd,  Jeff Gordon 3^rd, Kevin Harvick 4^th.

Chase Points: A 9^th for Carl Edwards good enough to hang onto the lead by 8 over Stewart with 3 rounds remaining. Johnson is 6^th, 43 points back.  His championship streak could be done at 5 in
a row!

Next Race: Sunday November 6^th, Chase round 8/10: Texas Motor Speedway. Last year’s winner: Denny Hamlin

Formula One World Driving Championship:

Last Race: Sunday October 30^th, Grand Prix of India: Inaugural event: A milk-run for
Germany’s Sebastien Vettel, he took off from the pole and led every lap, with big leads of 4-5 seconds at times for the 11^th win of his championship season. McLaren’s Jenson Button was 2^nd, Fernando
Alonso 3^rd for Ferrari, a nice 5^th for Michael Schumacher.

F-1 Points: Vettel and Red Bull have locked up the Driver’s and Constructor’s titles!

Next Race: ( 2 to go! ) : Sunday Nov. 13^th: Abu Dhabi. Last year’s winner: S. Vettel.

Indy Racing League IZOD IndyCar Series: Season closed!

2011 IndyCar Points: Since the final race at Las Vegas was suspended due to the Wheldon tragedy, Dario Franchitti wins driver points by 18 over Will Power. That’s Dario’s 3^rd title in a
row, the 4^th of his career.  James Hinchcliffe is the Rookie of the Year, finishing 12^th in over-all
points, Alex Tagliani, 15th.

2012 season opener: St. Petersburg Fla, Date TBA.

Bancroft Ontario.  Antoine L’Estage/Natalie Richard have already clinched their 2^nd straight
Canadian title to go with their North American Crown!
