Jacques Villeneuve will drive for current Nationwide Series champions Penske Racing in the series’ road course events at Road America and Montreal.

This will be the 4th time JV has run stock cars on home turf.

More home grown talent for our TEAM 990 faithful, as Patrick Carpentier is already entered, Paul Tracy and Ron Fellows are working on rides for Montreal.

Octane Motorsports, promoters of the event, is working with The Raceline Radio Network to market the August jump on the Isle.

The Canadian tested with the outfit last week at Road Atlanta and he is now set to drive the team’s #22 entry at both events.

Current series champion Brad Keselowski usually driver’s the car, but this season he is not defending his title as NASCAR rules only allow a driver to score points in one national series and Keselowski is scoring in the Sprint Cup series.

We’ll take the driver’s swap.

“I am really looking forward to joining Penske Racing and getting the chance to race at two of my favorite tracks with the series championship team,” said Villeneuve. “I am excited to work with the Discount Tire/Ruby Tuesday Dodge crew and we should be very competitive in both of these events.”
