Thank You!
Wednesday, March 30th, 2011
On behalf of mine and Alanna’s family, I wanted to say thank you to everyone, from the bottom of my heart for all the support and kind words. It definitely has helped with dealing with all this.
You should all know that my wife had fought this terrible disease 3 times in 8 years and spent the last 25 days in the hospital. Yet she was always concerned about her family, friends, and others who have faced the same fight.
Unfortunately, there are way too many cancer stories that have affected all of us, so today let’s celebrate their lives through music.
Alanna was a huge fan of music and I am honored that my coworkers would take 24 hours out of their lives to put on this radiothon and call it Songs For Alanna. Thanks to all of you for listening and helping the fight to find a cure.
Hope to talk to you all soon.

Tom and Joe World Tours
Wednesday, March 2nd, 2011
Hi everyone, it’s Tom.
It’s taken a couple of days to decompress from the Mazatlan Tom and Joe World Tour.
It was a blast!
I wish we could have taken everyone who entered to win, but that’s why we keep rollin out the new Tours. Next one starts this Friday with your 4 daily Rock Riffs and an extra chance every day in the Winnipeg Sun, to win trips to Vegas and the monumental UFC card at Toronto’s Roger’s Center!!
All our Mazatlan World Tour winner’s were awesome. How could you not have fun, when you’re hangin’ with people with nicknames like Tequila, Alky, Too Loud, Nasty, Hurricane etc, etc…..including the car and truck division, represented by Chevy and Hemi!!
While people went in all directions during the day, we were usually able to round up about half of our 54 winners for a great dinner each night. Then many would go deep into the night at various bars around town.
I think award for hardest party-er, who never seemed to suffer any ill affects, goes to Jeff ‘B-positive’ Bloodworth and his buddy ‘Spanky’ who somehow seemed to keep going 24 hours a day!!
Stace and I usually spent the day on the beach, maximizing every moment of the beautiful weather. One day included a long walk on the beach and a rock climbing finish that almost ended in a fall from a cliff!! Saved by a young Mexican shrimp fisherman! Btw, they fish with a line attached to a small piece of wood and catch one shrimp at a time!!
As always, the week flew by, but it’s always great to get back to the show every morining.
Good luck to everyone with our new World Tour. Get those Rock Riffs in and the code from the Sun every morning and starting next Monday we could be calling your name for an unbelieveable Tom and Joe World Tour experience!!
