On Monday Abbotsford police got a call about a prowler near a man’s chickens.
However this wasn’t any ordinary suspect – it was a 5 foot Burmese python.
Constable Ian MacDonald says the snake belonged to a neighbor.
“Apparently the owner noticed it missing three days prior. Probably in retrospect should have reported it, but believed it was somewhere in his house, he just wasn’t sure where.”
MacDonald says police and the snake’s owner were able to handle the snake without any chickens or people getting hurt.
