Council will be discussing the Friends of the Paramount proposal for saving the downtown theatre, although its not known whether it will end up on the agenda this month or in the fall.
Councillor Ken Popove says Council needs to make a smart business decision.
“For sure I want to see something there, but the plan’s got to be a strong one, it’s got to have some deadlines, some proposals, and what’s going to happen in the next few years with that building. So it’s got to be a good strong plan, and I hope it is.”
Friends of the Paramount submitted their proposal in June.
