…Rock in Peace John…. A little tribute to John Bonham

September 25th, 2012 by shawngilmore

Today is one of those historic days in Rock & Roll. Unfortunately this is a sad day in Rock history. Led Zeppelin drummer John “Bonzo” Bonham was found dead today in 1980. Just 32 at the time of his death, John’s official cause of death was cited as “asphyxiation on his own vomit”, this after a day of heavy, heavy, drinking. Stories say John drank North of 40 shots of Vodka that afternoon. Of course the remaining members would disband the group following John’s death. So today can also be seen as the end of Led Zeppelin.

A small tribute to John, still all these years later, considered one of the greatest drummers in Rock & Roll history.
