Sea Dogs Double Up On Armada

SAINT JOHN – Jonathan Huberdeau broke a 3-3 tie late in the second period, and added an assist, helping the Saint John Sea Dogs win their fifth straight game, 6-3, over Blainville-Boisbriand.

Danick Gauthier also scored twice, while Ian Saab, Zack Phillips and Tomas Jurco added singles.

Mathieu Corbeil made 33 saves for his 28th victory of the season.

That sets a new team record for wins in a season by a goalie, snapping the mark set last season by Jacob De Serres.

Saint John is in Drummondville Friday night.

The Sea Dogs then travel to Shawinigan Saturday afternoon.

He was held pointless and had two hits….Saint John scored twice in each period, and all six goals came in the final 3:08 of each frame….Gauthier’s pair gave him five two-goal games this season. He also has four hat tricks….D Charles-Olivier Roussel earned two assists and was +1 in his first game against his former franchise. Roussel spent last season with the Montreal Juniors, which became the Armada last summer.
