My wife and I are back at the gym to get fit for the summer time.  I really enjoy being healthy and eating right and I wanted to share this passion with you.  It seems like there’s so many things for women to stay fit, but not enough for men who want to lose weight and look good.  So every Wednesday listen to my show and check out this blog to score tips and hints on how you get the most our of your time spent at the gym.

Lift Your Way Limber – Stretching is great before you work out…but it’s not the only way to reduce stiffness..

Mens Health Magazine says Lifting Weights though a full range of motion can improve your flexibility better than stretching alone. According to a study at the University of North Dakota during resistance exercise your muscles first contract and then stretch to their full range between each rep. One way to make weight training even more effective for flexibility: each time you reach the “down” position of the lift (where you feel the stretch), pause for 2 or 3 seconds without relaxing your muscle.
