A buddy of my Jason Day was in his first UFC fight this past weekend in Montreal. It was one of the biggest UFC events ever and it was extra special to have a Lethbridge boy in the mix. He’s one of the most level headed guys I know and totally deserves the attention he’s getting. Lock your car doors…this guy is on the loose in the city..

Last Friday we had our very first edition of Smash Hit or Trash It! This is where we play a brand spanking new song that you’ve never heard before and we ask your opinion on it. This gives us chance to test out new songs with you. You like it, we play it again. You don’t, it goes in the garbage along side the new album from Good Charlotte (ohhhh snap!).

April 4th we played The new Raconteurs track Salute Your Solution. This is a song that just kinda came out of nowhere, the band wanted to beat music pirates and release their album Consolers Of The Lonely with little notice. The idea is to release it before everyone gets to review it and priates get to put it on the internet..just like the good ‘ol days. See, what happens now is a band will release a CD a month or so before you can buy it; to give magazine, radio stations, and the media a chance to talk about the album and promote it in hopes that you hear about it and want to buy it. but that also opens the door for people to copy it and put it online and then the band loses money. This way, everyone gets it at once and there’s less of a chance fans will download it for free and they will go to the store and buy it (they hope). Anyways, sorry for the rambles…The Result of Smash Hit/Trash It were (drum-roll please..)

One of Discovery Channel’s top rated shows, Canada’s Worst Driver is coming to Lethbridge in search of candidates for the fourth installment of the series. Currently in pre-production, producers are NOW accepting nominations to pre-schedule live interviews during their May stopover in the area. To take part, local residents must send their nominations via email or phone to driver@propertelevision.com or call 1-866-598-2591. Producers will follow up with every nomination received from now until April 30th.

Harland Williams was in Lethbridge last night…WHAT A SHOW! The guy is so smart and quick. I sat in the front row…which I thought was going to be great cause IT’S THE FRONT ROW..but forgot about the rule when it comes to comedians…NEVER SIT IN THE FRONT. Harland asked me if I have ever put onion rings in the pants, asked if I tanned, asked if I timed my farts…and asked me what kind of car I drove.

Seriously, you have to laugh about this stuff cause it’s all in good sport…thankfully I wasn’t the only one he was picking on..
