Why don’t COOL things happen to me..
May 28th, 2009 by Scott
Seriously anytime I try and be cool, it back-fires. Does that ever happen to you?
So I went to the Sasquatch Festival this past week at the MOST beautiful venue in the world The Gorge (pic below). Over 60 bands played over 3 days including Kings Of Leon, NIN, Janes Addiction…sounding pretty cool by this point eh? I know. This is actually my 3rd time going to this festival, and it’s likely the coolest thing I do every year. Despite the coolness level, ever year something terrible happens to me.
The first year someone rolled a big steel garbage can down a hill and it slammed into me.
The second year I took a shower at the provided campground showers beside someones poop.
This year I was running from one stage to another and stepped in a pot-hole on the first day, only to sprain my ankle..causing me to hobble around for the rest of the weekend. I figured I hobbled about 5 miles all together.
I mean if I was doing something cool, like back-flipping off of an RV to impress a series of super hot girls only to eventually take them all back to my tent and I sprained my ankle, that would be a cool story..but not me. Nope I was running and it was dark..that’s all I got.
The price you pay to rock I suppose.

Megan Fox likes girls too..
May 14th, 2009 by Scott
Megan Fox says that she is bisexual and could see herself in a relationship with another girl. The actress said, “Olivia Wilde is so sexy she makes me want to strangle a mountain ox with my bare hands.” Unfortunately for Megan, Olivia is married. You’re safe for now, Mountain Ox..

My Life Would Suck Without….food?
May 11th, 2009 by Scott
It’s been no secret that I have had a secret-crush on Kelly Clarkson ever since she became famous and rich. It doesn’t help that I have her posters in my bedroom and I carry around her song lyrics in my pocket at all times, much like a lot of American politicians carry around their Declaration of Independence. They use it for inspiration, to remind themselves why they got into politics. I use it for inspiration as well, but to the likes of which I’m not allowed to talk about on this blog.
I’ve supported Kelly her whole career, not by buying her records of course, but by telling people I know who Kelly Clarkson is and screaming her name anytime I get my chest waxed. She has recently been getting a lot of flack for gaining weight and not looking like she does on her posters and CD covers, and I call Bull!! There’s only so much someone can cover up by using Photoshop and if someone is beautiful it will shine through no matter what!
on second thought…
BBQ Season is here!
May 4th, 2009 by Scott
This weekend I bought my very first BBQ! I was so excited, I called my friends and invited them over that night. The only problem was, I didn’t yet build the actually BBQ. You see, BBQs now-a-days come from China and need to be put together like something from Ikea. I read on the stores website that someone said they put it together in 20 mins. So we started marinating the steaks and at 7:30pm I started my building. My friends were coming over at 8pm, so I figured I would have it together just in time. Now, I’m not the best Do-It-Yourself kinda guy…but I thought hey, how hard could it be. 4 hours later, 3 of us finally had the BBQ together.
The Saying: “Don’t Count Your Chickens Before They Hatch”…may have to be changed to “Don’t Invite The Friends Before The BBQ is Built”.
What’s your favourite thing to grill?

Captain Volunteer!
April 20th, 2009 by Scott
I was asked to dress up as the Soon-To-Be-Famous Super Hero Character Captain Volunteer this past weekend to kick off National Volunteer Week! Of course I jumped at the chance to get out in the community and spread the good word about Volunteering. It’s all part of my Quest For a Key To The City Of Lethbridge.
Here I am with Lethbridge City Mayor Bob Tarleck…who apparently doesn’t like that I’m taller than he is..
Looking forward a the summer time and getting back into the community and making a real difference. Hope you can join me!
