THE SCOTT TAYLOR REPORTS
7:15 NATIONAL HOCKEY LEAGUE REPORT
Hi everybody, it’s the Coach Scott Taylor and it’s time now for the 92-CITI-FM National Hockey League Report. Brought to you by MAACO Collision and Auto Painting at 983 Wall Street.
Sure, just about everyone you talk to in the NHL these days believes Phoenix Coyotes head coach Dave Tippett will easily win the Coach of the Year Award. But could it be that Tippett is merely the illustration required to show that Wayne Gretzky was a horrible coach.
Saturday night, the Nashville Predators locked up a playoff berth with a brilliant 4-3 win over the Red Wings in Detroit. Tippet is worthy, but Barry Trotz is the best coach in hockey.
8:15 NASCAR REPORT
Hi everybody, it’s the coach Scott Taylor and it’s time now for the 92-CITI-FM NASCAR REPORT. For Rondex Limited, your 3M-loyal dealer at 177 Isabel Street. Where people, paint and performance come first.
When you think of Kevin Harvick, you usually think of the Daytona 500 or the NASCAR Sprint Cup series, but he’s a pretty darn good Nationwide driver, as well.
Saturday night, Harvick stuck with a couple of old tires and outduelled four drivers with fresh tires as he won the Nashville 300 at Nashville Superspeedway. It was his second Nationwide win of the year and the 36th of his career.
5:15 PM COACH’S COMMENTARY
Hi everybody, it’s the coach Scott Taylor and it’s time now for the 92-CITI-FM Afternoon Coach’s Commentary. For Rondex Limited, your 3M-loyal dealer at 177 Isabel Street. Where people, paint and performance come first.
It’s just about the perfect way to start a brand new baseball season. Yankees-Red Sox at Fenway? It doesn’t get any better than that.
And last night in Boston, in the first night time opener at Fenway Park in 98 years, it was a thriller. Kevin Youkilis scored the winning run on a passed ball after his third extra base hit of the night as the Red Sox came back from a 5-1 deficit to beat the Yankees 9-7. What a way to start the season.
