Former Jet Keith Tkachuk scored the winning goal in a 2-1 St. Louis victory over Edmonton on Sunday afternoon on his 38th birthday. It was his first goal in 15 games and his 13th of the season. Winnipeg’s Alexander Steen assisted on that winning. Early in his career Tkachuk benefited from a lot of assists handed out by Alex’s father Thomas. You know you’re getting old when…

Hi everybody, it’s the coach Scott Taylor and it’s time now for the 92-CITI-FM Afternoon Coach’s Commentary. For Rondex Limited, your 3M-loyal dealer at 177 Isabel Street. Where people, paint and performance come first.

It will be interesting to see what happens with the Free Press’s Saturday story on Premier Greg Selinger’s promise to build a football stadium for the Winnipeg Blue Bombers, with Manitoba taxpayers’ money and with or without David Asper’s input.

We know the story is true because the Free Press will always write exactly what the provincial government tells it to write. Still, the story had no follow-up on Sunday and none of the people involved knew anything about the Premier’s plan. Guess we’ll have to wait for the news conference.
