Good for these kids.
A western New York woman faces a long list of charges for allegedly driving drunk… while her children were in the car with her.
Police in North Tonawanda say the woman’s 9-year-old daughter wrote a note pleading for help from passing motorists.
She wrote “please help us” on a piece of paper, and held it up to the window.
Someone saw it and called police. Mom faces a long list of charges.
Just once I’d like to see…

The Alberta budget comes out on Thursday and just once, just once I’d like to hear the opposition parties say they like it. That its wonderful and they couldn’t have done any better themselves.
But, that probably isn’t going to happen.
Tuesday the throne speech came out and amazingly (I’m being sarcastic), there weren’t many fans of it among the opposition ranks.
Liberal Leader David Swann says the Conservative speech was merely a rehash of old promises, with little focus on where to take the province in the future. The Liberals say the Tories need to reduce wait times and improve service in health care.
Brian Mason of the N-D-P says promises regarding a police college in Ft MacLeod, a cancer strategy and improved environmental monitoring initiatives have all been made before.
Just once I’d like to see it… probably not this time though
Opera… with nudity!!!
Wednesday, February 16th, 2011
I’m not an Opera guy, but if I was, I might… might be into this.
The latest production from Britain’s Royal Opera has it all — sex, drugs, wealth and family tragedy. It’s based on the short but sensational life of Playboy playmate turned tabloid superstar Anna Nicole Smith, who died in 2007 at the age of 39.
Now, I haven’t heard about the nudity, I made that part up. But come on! If there’s not, that’s a rip off. I’d ask for my money back. It’s about Anna Nicole Smith for crying out loud!!!
Only six performances are planned… and they are all sold out. Of course they are. By perving old guys… like me.
Teaching 101

A teacher in Silver Spring, Maryland, has been is charged with choking and hitting her students. Here’s the beauty… she’s a Grade One teacher!!! So these kids are 6 and 7… and she’s choking them???
Nine of them allege they were choked by Susan Burke, and some allege she kicked, punched or scratched them, or tightly squeezed their arms. I get you’re maybe a little frustrated. My kid’s in Grade One and although he’s wonderful… some of his classmates are not. And yeah, maybe they’re a little harder to deal with. So ya choke ‘em?
Mrs. Burke faces nine counts of second-degree assault.
Hope ya watched…

For the second year in a row, the Super Bowl has set a record for American television viewing. An estimated 111 million people watched the Packers-Steelers on Sunday… making it the most watched U.S. TV show… EVER!!!
Funny thing is, it broke a record from just one year ago… as 106.5 million watched the 2010 game between New Orleans and Indianapolis.
The series finale of “MASH” had held the title of the most-watched TV show in the United States for 27 years. It is now No. 3.
My question is… as always, who and how do they measure this? I didn’t get a call. Do they phone EVERY American and ask if they watched? Does this include or not include bars? What about homes who have 20 people over to watch the game? Does that count as one or 20?
Answers dangit… I want answers!!!
The Ultimate Fight
Friday, February 4th, 2011
MMA fans and fans of UFC have been waiting, and wanting this fight for awhile. Now it looks like it might happen. Middleweight champion Anderson Silva says he will follow the UFC’s lead when it comes to a super-fight with welterweight title-holder and Canadian Georges St-Pierre.
UFC president Dana White says he thinks the time is right for such a showdown, providing the two champions win their next fights. Silva defends his 185-pound title against fellow Brazilian Vitor Belfort at UFC 126 this weekend while Montreal’s St-Pierre puts his 170-pound championship on the line April 30 at UFC 129 in Toronto.
Silva would have to come down in weight which likely won’t happen… or St. Pierre would have to go up… which also could be tough. The UFC just may have to put this fight up… forget weight restrictions. This is the fight people want.
