Merry X-Mas

Thursday, December 16th, 2010

My ex-wife used to hate when I called it X-Mas.  So Merry X-Mas everyone.

This is my last blog until after Christmas and I hope everyone has a safe and Merry day on the 25th.

Facebook guy… you win

Wednesday, December 15th, 2010

Time magazine has announced its Person Of The Year is.   Its Facebook founder and C-E-O Mark Zuckerberg.

At 26, Zuckerberg is one of the world’s youngest billionaires, but also as a prominent newcomer to the world of philanthropy.  Earlier this year, he pledged 100 million dollars over five years to the Newark, New Jersey school system.

That said… still not joining Facebook.

Merry Freakin’ Christmas

Tuesday, December 14th, 2010

Am I alone?  Am I the only one who hates this weather?  This isn’t Christmas season.  I want cold… I want snow… I want grumpy people at malls.

OK sure, we maybe have the grumpy, stressed out people, but thy’re gonna be there anyway.  I grew up in Red Deer, we ALWAYS had snow on Christmas.  I don’t like that we have plus temperatures and at the rate we are going… it’ll be a very brown Christmas.

So if it gets bitterly cold and the snow flies… at least one guy will be happy

Stick it Flames fans

Tuesday, December 7th, 2010

If the NHL playoffs were to start today, the Calgary Flames wouldn’t make it.   Hah.  Not only would they not make it… they’d be last in the Western Conference.

Now thats a spot normally reserved for the Edmonton Oilers.  But going into tonite’s games, the Oilers are ahead of the Flames.  Hah.  Whodda thunk that?   No one.  No one, not even Oiler fans thought their team would be better then the Flames.

Now I know… the season is far from over.  Thats why I’m writing this Blog now.  I don’t like you Flames fan.

Gooooo Flyers (and every team but the Flames in the Western Conference)

5 Guys Burgers and Fries

Thursday, December 2nd, 2010

Lethbridge’s newest restaurant has opened up at the south end of Mayor McGrath Drive.   Its 5 Guys Burgers and Fries and its wonderful.  They have one in Kalispell and everytime me and my girlfriend and kids go down… we eat there.  Its one of the hi-lites of the trip.

But now that its in Lethbridge, I wonder if some of the sparkle will go off of it.  It was always nice cause I only ever ate there 2 times a year… cause thats all I could.  Now that its in Lethbridge, I can eat there whenever I want and maybe thats NOT good.

But try it… its really good.
