The Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame released its list of nominees Tuesday, and its a who’s who of music. Or is it?
There are the credible ROCK stars that are eligible, Bon Jovi, Alice Cooper. There’s “others”, J. Geils Band, Beastie Boys. Then there’s the head-scratchers: Donovan, Dr. John, and Neil Diamond. Neil Diamond? I love “Sweet Caroline”, but come on.
Just do what you shoulda done years ago, change the name to Music Hall of Fame. At least that makes sense.
To be eligible for the hall, an act must have released its first batch of music at least 25 years ago. So KISS is eligible, so is Deep Purple and Rush. But No!!! But Donna Summer is a nominee. Come on!
Inductees will be revealed in December, and the ceremony will be in March in New York City.
