Yeah… Bronze

The best memory of these Olympics, may be Figure Skater Joannie Rochette winning Bronze. She lost her Mom earlier this week, right before Joannie had to skate. Would have been easy for her to go home, but she stuck around and won a medal.

As far as hockey games go, tonite’s Canada-Russia game is as big as it gets. These are the 2 teams expected to be in the Gold medal match… now playing in the Quarterfinals. You lose… you’re out.
Cancel plans if you got some tonite. Because if you don’t watch tonite, you hate hockey… or Canada. Whichever is worse.

Is it just me or are the Winter Olympics a little weird? Lets have hockey, downhill skiing, biathlon, and figure skating and call it a day. Granted the snowboarding is big now, and its probably not a bad idea to throw in 1 event for snowboarders… but there are so many that are just silly.
Snowboard and ski cross? Moguls? Ice Dancing? Skeleton? They keep talking of getting more events into the games… let’s get less

I know Sunday nights loss to the U.S. in men’s hockey was a disappointment, but look at the bright side.
1. We get to see more Canadian hockey. Before, we didn’t get a game Tuesday night… now we do!!!
2. We didn’t play bad. We had more shots and way more chances… they just got the bounces.
3. What does it matter? We only want gold anyway, so does it matter if we win bronze… or finish 8th? (OK maybe) We still gotta go through Sweden and Russia to win gold anyway… now we just have to do it sooner.
