The CBC is trying to appeal to women whose husbands apparently control the remote control in the house.
They are providing alternate online commentary from Lena Sutherland and Jules Mancuso of WhiletheMenWatch.com
The two of them were once on the phone while their husbands were watching the same game and they were making comments to each other about a players hair and why the coaches suit was three times too big.
I think while this may appeal to some women, the vast majority of women I know actually love hockey and would be quite insulted by a “Sex in the City” style hockey broadcast.
I don’t think there was a need for this at all. However from a network that keeps Glen Healy employed, I would expect nothing less.
