Gibson signs with Anaheim Ducks
March 16th, 2012
Kitchener Rangers goalie John Gibson has signed his first pro contract.
He’s inked a three-year entry level deal with the NHL’s Anaheim Ducks.
The 18-year-old Pittsburgh native is tied for the Canadian Hockey League lead in save percentage (.926 SV%, tied with teammate Franky Palazzese).
Due to a number of injuries he has appeared in just 31 games.
Gibson was selected in the 2nd round (39th overall) in last year’s NHL Entry Draft.
