Kitchener Rangers

Rangers Rocking Mountain High

February 28th, 2012

Gabriel Landeskog’s breakout season in the NHL continues.

He had two assists in Colorado’s win over Anaheim on Monday night and now has 40 points.

Landeskog is now just a point behind New Jersey’s Adam Henrique for the rookie scoring lead.

The former Kitchener Rangers Captain leads all first year players with a +22 rating and in shots with 204.

The Avalanche also picked up ex-Ranger Steve Downie in a trade with Tampa last week.

He and Landeskog have clearly found some chemistry on the ice as the two have been playing on a line together.

Downie has 2 goals and 5 assists and is +7 rating in his last three games.

Colorado is also undefeated since trading for him.
