Ian did not invent this issue. There have been campaigns all over North America to drop these types of slurs and stereotypes from football team names and logos. I have always found it offensive and I am white! As for focusing on 'more important issues', people are capable of multitasking in 2012. There is no need to stick our heads in the sand over this issue.
