Crime pays.
- JohnI love this country. Hard working people can’t get their collective bargaining rights respected by their employer, yet drug dealers, regardless of their ethnicity, get criminal charges dropped by claiming violations of their charter rights. In this case: racial profiling my ass!!!
- joeSo the lads were caught with dope, yet teh learned appointed Judge decides it is racist. I heard an officer once tell me that in some cases theys ee something suspicious and use the FIDO code F*** IT DRIVE ON
- Fed UpGreat , so I feel my house is being broken into I had best say “They a re white.” I know a lot of Black people who are embarassed b y this..and they should be
Not saying I agree or disagree with the cop pulling these guys over but I do think race and age played a part, along with the other things like driving a Caddy in high crime area. I have my doubts a middle-aged white couple would have been pulled over. Again, not to say the cop should or shouldn’t have pulled them over but can anyone really say that race had nothing to do with it?
- Harry WilliamsThis cop did exactly as he was trained to do and used his common sense. This had NOTHING to do with racial profiling and EVERYTHING to do with observational skills and good motivated police work. Any racial ethnicity group exhibiting the same activity under the same circumstances would have very likely been pulled over by a cop doing his duty. Unfortunately the very pathetic state of our so-called Justice system allows these useless low life scumbags to not only get away with their crimes when they are caught red-handed and as guilty as could possibly be…but they get to profit from their crimes. And who gets screwed? The hard working taxpayer as always. There is no Justice in the Justice system. As a matter of fact the Judges making these arse backwards decisions and the lawyers defending these dirtbags are just as much to blame as the criminals themselves.
- Gilles B.I would have thrown the book at them and laughed in their face if I were the judge.
Its funny that other ethnic backgrounds can use racial profiling when getting arrested for something but a white person cant use it… think about it. Fair is fair right?
- Ottawa TaxpayerSad but true! What are we to do about it? The majority of Canadians feel the same way but will not take any action.
