You start your rant with the premise that public sector workers are paid more than the private sector. You then proceed to complain about the Ottawa hospital president making over $630,000 and the UofO president making ~$400,000 and yet you do not offer a comparative private sector wage. Where is your comparison?

As for police officers making over $100,000. This is most often a result of a substantial amount of overtime.

Generally I like your rants but you so ofter leave out facts in favour of sensationalism.

Amen brother, was just fuming about this myself. A city of 20k and we have 21 more names on the sunshine list this year for a total of 39 now. How many captains and fire prevention officers does this small force really need?
The gap between retail jobs and public service just keeps widening.

So Randall, how much do you make? Considering your criticism of public servants making over $100,000 seems a fair question.

Strongly agree with Jim, and myself… and all lot of these workers have an inherrent danger and risk in thier jobs, cops, fire fighters, hydro workers, trades people etc. who made the list not only because of that fact but also the overtime they performed, it isn’t a true reflection of thier salary.
