Wow, ok we really need to veto this prick ASAP. I won’t say we saw it coming but everyone knew what he is and has been like. You didn’t vote him out, then you do not have the right to complain after screwing yourselves and everyone else over. People are bitching, whining, moaning and complaining about Hudak and the liberals being bad? This guy sounds like hes been out to lunch for quite awhile now.
- TonyGovt looking for ways of saving money? This ought to be an internal thing within the Govt its self due to the last week of media coverage on whos abusing what in the PC cabinet. It really doesnt matter what party is in power they ALL are the same, spend spend spend. We as the public are paying to see whats being spent and by who?How does that make sense?Would it not be up to the individual to use their heads on whats allowed and whats not,is it not in black and white or is it the fact that most on the hill think they are above us all beyond the black rod iron gates of Wellington st.Red,blue or orange,no matter what the color of the party in power they are ALL the same.
- jimyou are right-on with this one. All the federal civil servants should be able to do this work as part of their regular job. this is the last time that I consider sending cash to the PC’s. No wonder that the western provinces would like to leave and set up on their own…fat cat city for sure.
- nedAs a public servant who will most likely be sent to the new SSC, I have a few ideas on how to save money for the tax payers. One big one is to not enter into a services consolidation project without a plan. How about accountability for spending from Senior management down to the lowest level? But asking for the unions to allow repercussions to be felt at any level of the Gov’t seems to be too much.
And how about the spending done by the House of Commons? Why is this not publicly available? We might wanna start at the top, and cut a few to save a lot, instead of burning the little guy who’s paying his taxes too.
- AndreHi Andre,
I agree with you, the poor ones alsways pay more taxes. How about the ones that makes 100k a year or more, they don’t mind paying taxes, they can afford it. People like me struggles to pay bills.
- LouiseIs there absolutely no one in the entire country who already draws a salary from the federal government that could assume this contract? Just get him and a few others like him, and round em all up and coral them in a conference room for a few weeks. Either they will be so excited about actually having something to do or they will get it done quick just to get out of there. The real point is..why hire outsiders when you have such a large pool of highly capable people just waiting for an opportunity like that.
