I soooooooo agree with you! I think it is time that we stood up for our values and stop bending our necks to accomodate some way of life we do not agree with!
- Louise from Chicoutimi, QcYou have got to be kidding me!!! We are paying taxes for a poor muslim girl to be treated like garbage?
Public schools are not supposed to have any religion allowed (as you said Randall, GOD got kicked out of our public system a while ago).
We have let a lot of people into our country as things are very bad for them at home (fair deal, were here to help).
BUT, PUBLIC schools are not supposed to support any religion at all!
I am not racist, but this is nuts. Suggest that when we vote this fall, we put a party into the system that will follow the rules without having to worry about “the race card” being shoved in their face.
And if we can’t find a poltical party willing to do this, I suggest that Randall start the “Common Sense” party. I’ll sign up right away…..
- AllanThis just makes me sick. The religious part of it, why are we letting all of these other religions do there praying when it needs to be (done). We need to start standing up for our rights and our beliefs, for GOD sakes lets stand up for ourselves. As for the pecking order boy first then girls and after that the one that are having a natural thing (menostation) not even accounted for. If this is what they or there parents want I have one suggestion GO HOME.
- SoniaThis has gone too far. I am woman and I want to roar for all the young female children that have to put up with this nonsense. I am angry! Nothing justifies this in this country. I don’t want these attitudes that demean our women anywhere near the school system. Does the Board actually condone this? How does this contribute anything to our society? The big question is how do we stop it.
- ValerieOne could also ask “why do we publicly fund a separate education system based entirely on the teachings of one religion?” Stop publicly funding Catholic schools. If you want religion out of public education, make sure it’s not just the religion you happen to disagree with.
