I was saddened to hear of the passing of  TV chef Ken Kostick.  Yes,  I like  cooking shows but it was Ken and Mary Jo who actually got me off the couch and into the kitchen.    I’d be lost without his recipe books.  Ken had been battling acute pancreatitis.  Only  58.

The Royal Buzz.  Sorry,  but  I can’t  get excited.  Did watch The King’s Speech over the weekend.  Loved it.

Did you vote in the advance polls?    They were very busy.   Hopefully it’s a sign of something good.  But a Harper majority?   Buckle up.

I’ve been holding off commenting on SUN TV News.  Can’t hold off anymore.  Aside from David Akin,  I don’t know … it all seems so ….what …?…you tell Me.

So my Bruins are down two-zip,  big deal,    takes  4 to win a series.  Belated  congrats to Sheldon Keefe and the Pembroke Lumber Kings for winning their   5th straight Central Junior League title.  Our young lad made the SUN sports page today.  NCAFA all-star. Way to go Zach.  Great work by CITIZEN reporters Meghan Hurley and Andrew Duffy  on the Father Joe story.   Talk about explosive!  Listen,  I know Father Joe is a wonderful man who has  done wonderful things for  so many people but really, where did  he get all that money?!?   I mean,  as a church pastor he earns a net salary of $24,400, yet he was able to repay VISA more than $424,000!!.    Some serious explaining to do, don’t you think?   Hey,  is it just me or  does no one  else think Stephen  Harper owes Helene Guergis some kind of explanation?   I feel  sorry for the woman,  I really do.  Here’s hoping  Guergis wins in her old riding where she’s running as an independent  and  Harper needs a single vote to  win another minority.  What goes around comes around….Drove along Lloyd Francis Boulevard yesterday.    How stupid is that,  dropping the name of Robertson Road in Bells Corners…Why?  More wasted tax dollars.   The SUN shines tomorrow, as in SUN NEWS.   Some  are calling it Fox News North.    Think I’ll wait and judge for myself.   One thing for sure it’s going to be interesting.  Have a great Sunday.

You heard about that pitbull ripping apart  a tiny Shih Tzu….Why the Hell wasn’t the pitbull wearing  a muzzle?!?    Put the damn thing down is what I say.  Before  it kills a child.  And  yes I’d be saying  the same thing if one my dogs went pyscho.  

We went for a drive out in the country the other day.  What a freakin’ mess…the garbage,  it’s everywhere.   And this is with once a week garbage pick up.  Imagine  what it’s going to be like come next fall when we go bi-weekly…..
