As you said Randall, no one knew her, or cared, but now, thanks to the protesters she is famous here in Ottawa. All they did last night was prove her point and help her sell more books. She was insignifacant before and will be again soon, but for now, she is racking in the money and laughing!
- AnonymousI agree with you 100%
- AnonymousI agree with you 100%. No one knew who she was before yesterday. Now she’s front page news and will use that to spread her hateful message.
- Hugger1I agree with your slant on free speech, but is it free speech to promote hatred, racism and intolerance. Didn’t Hitler exercise his right of free speech before taking power, only to limit that right once in power? Ann Coulter says that while not all Muslins are terrorists, all terrorists are Muslim. What about the Oklahoma City bombing? Are their domestic terrorists such as the Animal Liberation Front, the Army of God, the Ku Klux Klan, the Symbionese Liberation Army and the Weathermen products of the teachings of the Prophet. In Canada, the promotion of hatred on the basis of racial or religious grounds is a crime. Be careful what you wish for Randall! Yves
- AnonymousAnd while I’m at it, let me ask you: Didn’t the protesters used their right of free speech?
- AnonymousA recent poll concluded that less than 56% of Canadians have a favorable view of Aboriginal Peoples. On the hated list, we came first in the opinion of Canadians (except in Quebec where Jews are more hated than we are). As an Aboriginal Canadian, let me be suspicious of anyone defending the right of free speech of any right wing hatemonger! Yves
In another million years from now, when we are all of the same colour and religion has faded – there will be no more Anne Coulters! Why can’t all nations behave like adults! I do agree with you Randall, Ottawa U should have allowed her to speak.
- dshickey@sympatico.caI knew exactly who Ann was before she was supposed to come to uOttawa, and as a former student I would not want her spreading around what she calls free speech. I would listen to her speak so long as she actually spoke the truth.
- CurtisWho Cares What She has to say or not. She’s Hot!
- David PoelzerUnfortunately, one of our basic rights in this country has been violated, the freedom of speech. Yes, the protestors had a right for freedom of speech, however, they did not let the opposition to their protests have her say. The same is true in countries like Iran, where they forcibly stop people from expressing views which are not that of the government in power. As Voltaire once said, ” I do not agree with what you have to say, but I’ll defend to the death your right to say it.” Obviously something has gone awry at the U of O.
- BJIt’s not Ann Coulter. It’s Mann Coulter.
- EyeballAnd how do you decide,Randal, what you publish & what you don’t ?
- Susan Mullinsi know of 4 people so far that has brought to my attention that they have commented on some of your past comments & you didn’t think it should be posted.
Is that not Sensorship ?
Why then,Mr Moore if thats the case, why are you allowd to not only say your piece over the airwaves of this city & here on this blog, but not let everyone, only a chosen few , post their remarks Randal ?
Why ?
If this continues & i get more complaints as to you not posting everyones opinion,i will have this, your blog shut down.

All or None .
- Susan MullinsThats Fair
Thats Canadian
and Ann Coulter makes me sick, but its her right, just as the people you didn’t think did Mr Moore.
I cannot agree that her commentary should have been censored before it was even given. If the faculty or student associations had anything to worry about before letting her orate, doubly so now. FFS what kind of a PUSSY country have we become? If you disagree with what she says good on you.. voice an opinion… If you were offended start a support group… But C’mon lets show that we actually have some guts as Canadian’s, to listen to the good and bad and make decisions based on content. The cancellation of her appearance makes Ottawa look like idiots. Not that we can’t do that on a daily basis otherwise… Sad day in Poohsville, Now Calgary can host her as she makes fun of all the idiots in the NATIONS CAPITOL. FFS get out a map sometime ppl, realize we are looked upon BY THE WORLD. And you know what they see? A BUNCH OF IGNORANT ASSES! read on dumb asses. there may be a cookie near the end. Or not.. the engagement has been canceled due to safety issues.. no camels were available
- AnonymousI am in my forties and have listened to Chez since I was a teenager. The U of O is exactly what Ann Coulter said. Bush League. As she said muslims in burkhas get the most protection in Canada so perhaps she should wear one at her next speaking engagement. Do your kids a favour. Tell them to get out of McGuineas Ontario. The province where minority poachers can poach fish and claim racism. The province of language laws where french grants you perks and privileges, let alone good employment. The province where the visible minority has more rights than the majority. The province of refugee payouts and welfare, where you can collect huge cheques, by having kids and not working. If you don’t like what Ann Coulter has to say don’t attend. The U of O has totally reinforced how present day Ontario is perceived. It also reinforces all that is wrong with Canadian Universities, profs and provosts, particularly in Ontario. The worse province in Canada. You will not see this behaviour in Calgary tonight. Mark my words.
- AnonymousRandall.. way to go.. Are The Station Show casing the legend. Jimi Hendrix….. Maybe someone should send her an email…. 1969 Woodstock Ont…. His Star Spangled Baner version.. Played on CANADIAN soil……………….
- AnonymousOnce again, the liberal self righteous zealots are out to limit free speech by the use of intimidation. Now, didn’t Hitler do that?
- AnonymousPersonally I think Ann Coulter is a farce. However she has a right to speak. The students would have been better off letting her speak, that way she would have exposed herself as the clown she really is. The only reason this woman sells books is because of the fringe population in the U.S. and stunts like the one at U of O. Was it not Voltaire that said ” I may not agree with what you say, but I will die defending your right to say it.” In the future let people like her say their piece, they will only defeat themselves.
- BryanI agree with you Randall.
I only knew Anne Coulter as an offensive characature of the Right. Something like a Right-Wing South Park… without humour.
I’ve seen her on a number of political discussion shows and found her to be so repugnant and offensive, I’d have to change the chanel.
I would not be surprised if she becomes the “trigger” for someone to go off the deep end? Wasn’t there a Jihad on a cartoonist?
I was on the same band-wagon that wanted her banned because the last thing we need is someone being hurt or worst – killed – just so this individual can further profit from the garbage she spews.
- AnonymousThen I listened to a number of different POVs.
She definitely has the right to spew her garbage – and we have the right to listen – or not.
I still will not buy her books.
I will still change the channel if she is in any way a part of the show I’m watching.
I will do everything in my power to give this woman NOTHING.
I wonder what would happen if we just ignored these hurtful people?
It’s ironic that, although we live in a tolerant society, we find humour and entertainment with intollerance.
I’m so proud of our Ottawa People, esp Our Youth Man !
- Farmboysending that %%%% on her way without a word with her tail between her legs.
Standing O Boys & Girls,,now thats standing up against
The Facist Neo- Nazi Pig regime,Man she sickens me,,,like randall,I totally agree with free speech,,but you can’t abuse that right, because you are a Redneck,or,,,Insane
Anyone saying that those students who protested Ann Coulters speech are anti-free speech, are by the same logic anti-freedom to protest.
And how has noone ever heard of her before?
- AnonymousThe Students at U of O didn’t stop her from speaking, they stopped her speaking at their University. For those of you who have never been to a University, it’s much like a small community. Asking them to let her speak there is like asking them to let her speak in your home.
If you’re upset at the students, then just invite Ann Coulter over to your house and let her speak there.
- AnonymousHey Susan small Time Muffins is it ?
- FarmboyI like Randal a lot.
I usually agree with him & rarely i don’t.
I’m usually pretty well to the point.sometimes an Idiot & sometimes can’t spell if my life depended on it.
I can count on maybe 2 fingers times when he did not publish some of my comments,,& its usually because its a Idiotic comment or i’ve been profane, anyway, yours was posted so run along with your coulter tour, here’s a little something to watch on the bus,,,,Bye,,,

Some quotable quotes from Ann Coulter that easily define why she shouldn’t be allowed accross the border:
