- PolarismanSomeone sent me an e-mail regarding healthcare….and that person ( I can not name) said prisoner are better taken care then our senior’s…go figure! What a joke Canada is/has become!
I think since the prison equipment is so delapidated , maybe all the prisons should remove ALL equipment until a study is done on the safety of the equipment. 3-5yrs from now the study might be done. I wonder how all the other inmates would respond to having their toys taken away because some clown hurt himself trying to lift more than his frail little body could handle.
This lawsuit should NEVER see the light of day. I cannot believe how we cater to inmates in PRISON. They are warm and comfy while their victims suffer.
Maybe next time someone will sue for a paper cut because the edges of the paper were not sanded.
I think our taxpayer dollars deserve to be spent better and not on this waste of space prison inmate.
Here’s a thought, how about him paying for what he did?

See how popular this guy would be then. Put him in the general population, make it known that because of this lawsuit, no more fitness equipment in the pens.

And I foolishly thought the purpose of jail time was to deny the convicted of their civil and human rights as punishment for their crimes. I worked full time for 40 years and I still cannot afford a gym membership nor find the time. It’s time to take back the justice system punish the criminals, not the victims, their families or the working society that finances it.
- SanHere i thought that jail would be hell,obviously I thought wrong.If that is hell,its too good for him.Yes he is to blame for what he did and yes the eye for an eye should fall into effect here but due to bleeding heart human rights activists our murderes live in comfort as we as taxpayers pay for their comfort.50,000 dollars,and for what may I ask?This is the fault of Judges who have the capability to enforce the laws and the fault of the prosecutors who *plea* bargain charges to have a win on their portfolio.As far as the idea of rights being revoked due to incarciration falls short as well seeing as the application to sue US actually being accepted and filed.Ahhhhhh……..what a wonderful system we have……………
- jimThis isn’t the first time a criminal has sued the government. There was a drug dealer that sued because he was over weight and they didn’t have the proper beds,chairs for his comfort.He won.I guess crime pays you just have to have the nerve to use the system.

In my line of work , I have had a chance to see things and talk to people on a level that could not be done openly . The politically incorrect backlash would be devistating. One opertunity to talk to a couple of judges sickened me with their self rightous empowerment that was afforded them from their position. It is no doubt the state of the legal system is such a farce as their veiws were so far disconnected from reality that a lowly blue collar worker could gracefully stall them in their tracks. As I cannot provide details of the context of the conversation, it would add alot of clarity to this comment. I can say that I had to be very careful and tactful in my responce so as to not offend their highnesses and suffer the consequences but I was able to give them a different point of veiw. Remember all judges start as lawyers and anyone who has had the need for one or suffer the abuse of one can truly relate.

An opinion is one thing – a treatise on peeing in a bottle aired on Christmas Eve is another. Sigh. Maybe it’s time I switched stations – looks like I’m no longer part of Chez’s target demographic.
