What choice does Stephen harper have? He has to appoint conservative “backers” if he wants to get any bills passed. Even after all his appointments the senate is still occupied by mostly liberals. Of course I agree with you…Abolish the senate, but until then, Harpers gotta do what he’s gotta do…if he wants to get anything done.

hey randall i must say i agree with you, what do you think if we abolish 1\2 the senate & the remaining ones shoul be elected by the people for the people[sounds great but the latter part will never be due to corruption] thanks for your honest approach, too bad politicians don’t back up a few steps & ask themselves why they are in their positions & how they are to serve the public & not their own pockets!

    Wow.
    About the sales tax.
Does the public not remember that we got a “BREAK” in our taxes.
You can really tell that polititians are “LAW”YERS.
They are the ones who can create a “LEGAL” way of reducing our GST and PST to “save” us money, then comine the “TWO” taxes to make us pay more.
I am so happy that you are one who does not take sides and tells the truth.
BUT who do we vote for?
Look at our problems with LARRY.
You can tell where his heart is – Busses on strike for 2 months, no end yet for the Licence bureau staff – but the liquer control board workers, NOT ONE DAY, and they got all that they aseked for.
