Ahh Randall you have the misfortune of living in Ottawa; 9000 plus vaccinations in 2 days. Other canadian cities are reporting double, almost triple those numbers. If you are like me and not in a high risk group, you’ll be lucky to get vaccinated by february.
- NatalieAt 7500 people a day it will take 133 days to immunize all 1 million people in Ottawa. By then we will either all get the flu or die from it. The folks giving out the shots are trying their best but do you think that maybe the government should have come up with a better plan for a mass immunization program?

When is the city going to stop the bull shit. On Tuesday I heard on the news that they anticipated administering 12,000 shots a day and only did approx. 4,500 on Monday and here we are Thursday and now we are hearing there are Shortages in the Vaccine. Are they trying to fuel further hysteria ? And if you anticipate injecting 12,000 people a day and you have a population base of 750,000 and you are running out after only a few days, then the bean counter in charge of purchasing needs to be FIRED !
- MarkGlad to hear it. With two young boys under 6 I too will be sucking it up and getting the shot. The only other option is to do nothing and hope and pray I don’t get sick or get them sick. Here’s hoping this doesn’t escalate and our kids stay healthy.

vivian lea, our bodies produce squalene naturally, we all have it my dear. Follow your advice, and be more vigilant in your research. Don’t believe everything you read on the internet, especially outrageous claims from quacks who claim to be “doctors”.
- BryanJust being in the line up will probably make you sick. All those strangers, in cramped quarters, no thanks. Maybe the medical community should think about promoting a healthier life style, like fruits and vegetable, going out for a walk a couple of times a day, instead of coming up with chemical quick fixes. Might be better in the long run. A lot less hysteria as well.

What will we do ?
I thought the days of “Women and Children First” went out with the sinking of the Titanic. Why are men any less important than women, children, the sick and older people? I am a son, farther and a husband. There will be just as many people hurt if I die as any one of the people in this so called “Priority List”. I can understand pregnant women going first because it affects 2 lives. But after that, all should be equal. My wife and I are healthy people. If I give my son the vaccine, then I come down with H1N1, give it to my wife and we both die, then who is left to take care of my son? Certainly not the Government who has put together this “Priority List”.

- ChrisThe way i see it is the government doesnt give a crap what happens to us little people, so long as they have something to feel comfortable about when they sleep at night thinking they “tried”. if they were really trying they would impliment stricter rules about hand washing and surface cleaning. Public busses is where to start. I gaurentee you if you swabbed one of those busses, you would find all sorts of things, one of wich being H1N1. I mean c’mon, how dumb is OC Transpo anyways. i dont think i have ever seen a driver cleaning the bus surfaces, and i have been bussing since 1994! another thing is hand washing. i cant recall how many times i have been in a public washroom and seen a person use the facilities and neglect to wash thier hands… HELLO PEOPLE!!! Purel isnt an excuse not to be clean, its a backup! Jeeze! Its disgusting to think about, but when its an employee of a major coffee shop, it worries the “bleep” out of me. No wonder there are shut-ins and agorifobic people. and as for the H1N1 vacceen, i have heard that it has mercury in it, along with fecal matter, and of course, the “weakened”H1N1 virus. All this accompanied by the fact that it has not undergone thorough testing in Canada. Well do your research, people have died from the vacceen alone. Middle aged, otherwise healthy people. and the government expects us to inject our kids full of this crap? No thank you…I would rather caccoon my kid then subject him to a questionable vacceen that may not even prevent him from getting the H1N1flu. sorry to be so blunt, but thats just my oppinion.
