Aleisha Block is a free woman.
Block was released on bail Tuesday after three bail hearings in Ontario Superior Court. Family and friends in Kirkland Lake raised over $100,000 to post her bail.
As part of her bail, Block must abide by several conditions including a 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. curfew, abstain from drugs and alcohol, reside with her mother in Kirland Lake and preset herself to the front door of her mother’s home anytime a uniformed police officer wishes to see her.
Block has been in custody since being accused of stabbing her fiance Christopher Deighton at their Birch St South Home on Aug 18th.
Judge Robert Riopelle added it could take two to three years for Block’s case to make it to trial.
