Revised Rules to Spring Clean Up Program
The City of Timmins is providing a Spring Clean Up Program in 2012, commencing Monday, May 7th, and ending Friday, May 18th. Check the schedule posted below. All residential tipping fees will be waived during the spring clean up program. Residents are able to dispose of their waste at the Deloro Landfill from May 7th to the 18th free of charge. This waiver does not include commercial and industrial volumes.

Residents participating in Spring Clean Up are required to comply with the following guidelines, approved by Council:
Volume of material to be collected per residence is limited to 1 m3 or 35 cubic feet {Half a pick-up load}
Only one pass through an area by collection crews
Residents are to have their material at the curb two (2) days prior to their collection day
Material not in compliance with accepted guidelines will not be collected – a note will be left at the residence informing them of the violation. All material not collected shall be removed from the street within 48 hours by the resident
All containers (cans/recycle boxes) with waste will be collected with the waste- do not put out containers unless you want to get rid of the container
The following items will NOT be collected:
Cardboard
White Goods (Fridges, Freezer, Washers Dryers, any appliances, items that may contain Freon)
Liquid Wastes (Paints, Oils, etc.)
All recyclables
Batteries
Propane tanks
Tires
Automotive Parts
Construction Demolition
Concrete, asphalt and cement

Timmins
May 7th All areas north of Ross/Jubilee, starting at Airport Road ending at HWY 655.
May 10th All areas north of Algonquin Blvd and South of Jubilee/Ross, starting at Gillies Lake and ending at Domtar
May 14th All areas south of Algonquin Blvd., starting at the Mattagami River working eastward.
Mountjoy
May 16th All of the Mountjoy area, west of the Mattagami River including Dalton Road and Kamiskotia area.
Whitney
May 17th Bob’s Lake and all areas west of Railroad Tracks and areas in Porcupine, north and south of King St. to Rekela.
South Porcupine and Porcupine
May 7th Beginning at the lights on Bristol Road (Pottsville), and all areas west through the Melview Area (behind Porcupine Mall) to Legion Drive, South Porcupine including Connaught Hill
Schumacher
May 14th All of Schumacher through Gold Centre and all of the back road (Delnite, McDonald Hill, Ankerite)
Connaught
May 16th All areas east of and including Rekela, through to Connaught and Barber’s Bay.
Note: Please ensure that all waste is at the curb for the starting days of each area. The above schedule for Spring Clean Up is subject to change.
