Mayors from North Bay to Hearst met in Cochrane to find a suitable solutio to the divestiture of the ONTC.

The nearly four hour meeting brought to light the different aspects from the different communites involved. Timmins Mayor Tom Laughren said, we have many troubles in common but some of the communities suffer from individual problems as well.

“Obviously job loss is huge but we’re trying to incorporate industries into the decision making and since we’re not being listened to by the minister and premier, we need to look out for each other.”

He added, arguing and meeting can only go so far, the rest in the hands of minister Rick Bartolucci.

The mayors intend to meet on a weekly basis to insure all the “T”s are crossed and “I”s dotted.
