This year marks the 10th anniversiry of the Timmins Chamber of Commerce Noval Awards, which had a spinning attendence of around 600 people.

The event took place at the Mclntyre Arena with 48 finalist. Here are the awards and prizewinners;

Marketing Innovation Achievement – Dube Designs, Jackie Dube
Young Entrepreneur – Massage by Design, Adam Lamontagne
Business of the Year (1 to 5 employees) – Nancy Delmonte Academy of Dance, Nancy Delmonte
Business of the Year (6 to 49 employees) – J&B & Marine, Rob Racine
Business of the Year ( 50+ employees) – Timmins Garage Inc, Jim Mascioli
Non-Profit Organization Award – Timmins Native Friendship Centre, Veronica Nicholson
Environmental Award – Milson Forestry, Monique Koski
Aboriginal Partnership Award – Mattagami Group LP and Lake Shore Gold Corp., Chris Mckay and Dan Gagnon
Best Place to Work Award – The Ventire Centre, Ellen Sinclair
Apprenticeship Award – Gorf Contracting Limited, Mark Norkum
President’s Award – Xstrata Copper Kidd Operations, Tom Semadeni
Media Person of the Year Award – Kevin Vincent
