The Sudbury Cubs have been sold and renamed.
Michael Mooney, a businessman and former player in the Northern Ontario Junior Hockey League purchased the club, which will now be known as the Sudbury Nickel Barons.
Oscar Clouthier has been named as the new General Manager, but they do not have a new coach yet.
The Barons will continue to play out of McClelland Arena in Copper Cliff.
Training camp begins in August.
