A bear cub has been taken to a local animal hospital after being found tied to a telephone cable ground wire.
Police say the incident took place some time yesterday…the cub found on the property of the Credit Union on Falconbridge Road in Garson.
Anyone with information on who tied up the cub is asked to call police or Crime Stoppers.
Witnesses say that person left the area in a red Jeep and may have suffered a serious injury.
The mother bear and a second cub were seen in the area…the mother bear became very agitated, but they ran off.
Police remind residents that while bear cubs seem cute an cuddly they are wild animals.
