The Northern Ontario School of Medicine is celebrating it’s success in the field of research.

The research laboratories at NOSM were officially opened in March 2006 and have since realized some great accomplishments.

Dr Greg Ross…the schools Associate Dean of Research says since 2006 NOSM has recived over $20-million in research grants and has seen a 40% sucess rate in grant application acceptance.

Ross is proud of those numbers, but says there are challenges that lie ahead.

Ross says the research being done at NOSM is vital since much of it has to do with life in Northern Ontario.
