The OPP Marine Patrols were out and kept busy on area waterways.
Over the weekend in Greater Sudbury and Espanola, three liquor licence act charges were laid along with two life-jacket charges.
As well, three people were found operating their boats without a Pleasure Craft Operator’s Card and officers also issued 14 warnings.
With the upcoming Canada long weekend approaching police are asking boaters to take the necessary steps to make sure it’s a safe weekend.
That includes no drinking and boating, make sure there are life-jackets for each person on board and operate your boat in a responsible fashion.
