A dog-owner who tried to ’sick’ his pit bull on another man ended up as the victim of the attack….and also faces assault charges himself.

The man was walking the animal on Worthington Crescent last night when he (the man) urinated on a neighbour’s yard, which prompted a verbal altercation with the resident.

The dog-owner tried to get his dog to attack, but the dog bit him in the face and arm.

The suspect then assaulted the other man and returned a short time later with a dog chain for a second assault.

The victim defended himself from the second attack and police made an arrest.

A 25-year-old Sudbury man is charged with Assault, Assault with a Weapon and Breach of Probation.
