Chris VanLaren John McFarland and Marcus Foligno all scored for Sudbury who sits at 9-15 and 4.
Meantime Andrew Loverock stopped 48 shots on net compared to Barrie’s Peter DiSalvo who made 21 saves for the Colts.
After four scoreless rounds, Bryan Cameron would score the shootout winner for Barrie.
Sudbury’s losing slump now extends to 4, which they’ll hope to snap tonight against the Rangers in Kitchener.
