Michigan State Police Trooper Lori Price has pleaded guilty to a pair of misdemeanors — operating while intoxicated and attempted resisting and obstructing of Chippewa County Sheriff Deputies — stemming from an incident in March at an elementary school in Rudyard, where she caused a commotion when school officials would not release a child to her – fearing she’d been drinking. She was originally charged with two felony counts – including one count of operating a motor vehicle with a blood alcohol level in excess of .17 She did admit to drinking at the time of the incident – but according to her lawyer is undergoing treatment for an alcohol problem. Price may be able to return to the Michigan State Police force once her legal troubles are behind her.
