The Atlanta Thrashers traded goaltender Drew MacIntyre in exchange for Montreal’s defenseman Brett Festerling.

Festerling is a ticking time bomb with his 25th birthday this Thursday. It is the second time he has been traded this season so it is essentially do-or-die for the blue-liner.

MacIntyre supplies the Habs with back-up in the goaltending area but I would not place too much faith in the netminder because the majority of his experience is in the AHL with the Moose and Wolves.

Essentially, both Festerling and MacIntyre have to prove themselves in their new organizations.
