Right-winger Mikko Lehtonen and D-man Jeff Penner were sent to Minnesota; Boston will get Goalie Anton Khudobin in return.
Boston will love this goaltender, Khubodin played in four games with the Wild early this year and was absolutely brilliant picking up two wins with a .940 save percentage. A flexible and poised net-minder who will be a great back-up for Boston’s goal-tending roster.
Penner, a 183-pound blue-liner is going to support the defensemen for the Wild and supply for the team with options. Lehtonen, in my opinion is the player who is the better of the of the two, who was very successful with the Providence Bruins (AHL Affiliate) and the Skelleftea HC (SEL) in the recent past.
