With half of my family away on a vacation, I figured I’d make the most of my free time. With half a tank of gas in the ride, I loaded up my best friend, Dr. Jake, and we pointed our noses in the direction of the Cypress Hills.
Taking in some early morning hiking has it advantages. In addition to having the rest of the day to do what you will and with the exception of me and my dog and the surrounding wildlife, those hiking trails were empty.
The hard part is trying to take a self portrait of yourself and the dog when your dog can’t operate the camera and refuses to stand still.

Safety glasses? Check.
Chainsaw? You bet
Proper gas and oil mixture? Uh huh.
Work glove and boots? Of course.
Proper ride to get the job done? Well . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
