I spoke with Dad back in ‘Toba last night, ensuring that our Canada Day bike Road Trip was still a go. Pa informed me he was on his way to acquire his latest bike because in the last three weeks, this guy has bought and sold three bikes, not to mention a mobile home, the lot it sits on and some old motorhome to boot.
Back on track though. Aside from a small chance of showers, the plan is for Dad and myself to meet in the Queen City tomorrow, Canada Day, on our bikes. This is something I’ve looked towards for years, a bike trip with my Dad and it begins with less than 24 hours to go. From there the world is our oyster, until Monday anyway.
And according to Mom, this what Dad will be riding; an ’81 Honda Goldwing. Ironically, some of my first memories were cruising around the farm on Mom’s Silverwing, only after they had left for town of course.
