Grenier lifts Moose over Foreurs
The Halifax Mooseheads won the first of a two-game stand in Val-d’Or Friday night with two goals from Alexandre Grenier.
Grenier put the Herd ahead 3-2 on a powerplay in the third period, a lead the team would be able to hold on to to win.
The Mooseheads led 1-0 and 2-1 throughout the game, letting the Foreurs tie the game twice.
Zach Fucale spent the night in nets with a 33 save effort.
The two teams lock up again Saturday night.
