Mooseheads mount major comeback

The Halifax Mooseheads trailed 4-0 after one period but stormed back scoring seven straight goals to beat the Blaineville-Boisbriand Armada on the road Wednesday night.

“We came back out in the second and had a great character period,” says Mooseheads General Manager Cam Russell.

Alexandre Côté spurred the comeback with his fourth goal of the season off a pass from captain Cameron Critchlow.

Critchlow was named first star of the night with three assists and a goal. Rookie sensation Nathan MacKinnon got his seventh of the season off an end-to-end rushing passing play.

Travis Randell, Alexandre Grenier, Trey Lewis and Brent Andrews rounded out the comeback for the Mooseheads.

Zach Fucale was in nets turning away 25 shots for the Mooseheads and he might have been a bit nervous. Fucale’s dad bought about 200 tickets for family and friends to watch the game. The rookie netminder played his Midget AAA in the area.

Wednesday’s win kicked off a week-long road trip through Quebec. They play next on Friday in Val-d’Or at 8:30pm. Catch the game live on News 95.7.
