Moose still undefeated in pre-season play
The Halifax Mooseheads built up a 3-1 lead in the first period and that’s all they needed Saturday night in Bathurst.
Brent Andrews, Matt Boudreau and Alex Grenier picked up the goals. Gabe Desjardins added an empty-netter late in the game to make it a 4-1 final.
With the win the Herd improve to 4-0 in preseason matchups with two wins over the Acadie-Bathurst Titan and two over the Cape Breton Screaming Eagles.
Anthony Terenzio got the call in nets making 22 saves. The team returns home for a week of practise before their final two pre-season games against Moncton next weekend.
The team, which is carrying 30 players right now, has seven cuts remaining. Of note, the team is still carrying five 20-year-olds so they will need to cut two of them.
