The QMJHL suspended Shawinigan Cataractes forward Pierre-Olivier Morin for two games for an illegal check to the head.
The hit occurred Sunday during the Cataractes’ matchup with the Victoriaville Tigres.
Morin, a Vancouver Canucks prospect, will serve the suspension during the first two games of the regular season.
Morin had 15 goals, 30 assists in 59 games last season with the Lewiston Maineiacs.
