Except to say that that was a pretty crappy way to end a ballgame.  Also, though I love John McDonald, whither Adam Lind off the bench late in the game?  And why manage the bottom of the 8th (both ways) as though it was the 7th game of the World Series?

Just wondering, you know?

Here’s tonight’s abbreviated edition of The JaysTalk, for your listening pleasure:

And here’s the transcript from tonight’s “Miked Up LIVE!”  I continue to try to de-trollify the thing, but I don’t have a good troll-dar working yet.  It’s a work in progress, bear with me:

I know it must have been discussed after the game, cause it was frustrating to watch. Top of the 10th, get a break and man in scoring position with none out. No bunt? I think this is where some fans get upset with Cito. I just don’t understand. Maybe if we were a senior circuit team?
I listen when I can and I am glad it is on whether I agree with you, the listeners or not, it is good stuff.

    Hi Mike,

I have been away for a while due to holidays but heard that you could not get the Jays games on Sportsnet unless you had the new channel which I don’t as I am on Cogeco in St.Catharines. Last night watched the game on Sportsnet as usual?? Can you help with this? Love your show. Listen to more games on the radio anyways!!

    Thanks

    Paul

Listening to the rain-delay show. Mike just said Dewayne Wise was a terrific fourth outfielder…”You won’t find a better fourth outfielder around.” Huh? Wise is not a fourth outfielder. He’s a fringe fifth outfielder who has played 358 games over 8 seasons, with a .221 lifetime batting average.

    Mike,

How realistic is it that the Jays come back next year with a rotation of Marcum, Romero, Cecil, Morrow, Drabek, and a lineup that replaces Overbay and Buck?

Is that enough turnover or should there be more?
